I ordered the iSilencer 3.0 to attempt to resolve an issue I was having with USB noise out of a few of my USB ports.
This product has done exactly that. I was having an issue where I would get sputtering and inconsistent noise through my HP-1 that I had isolated to being from my computer itself. Very simply, I ordered this, attached it to the end of the USB cable from my DAC, plugged it into my computer, and heard the issue disappear.
The information per iFi's website details that they use Active Noise Cancellation to negate noise from the power supply and silence jitter and packet errors through a process that I don't believe is fully specified.
I wish there were more to say about this product, but for ~$50, it resolved an issue I had that significantly impeded my enjoyment of listening. So for those that have this issue, I'd be hard pressed not to recommend this. It's built well, with a rubberized exterior, and what seem to be good quality ports/connectors on both sides. There's no drivers or anything to worry about, as there shouldn't be, and it works immediately upon plug-in, with no setup.
I purchased this product of my own accord. I am not being paid by anyone to write this review, to endorse the product reviewed, or for the content that I put in the review.
